Positive thinking is powerful!
Optimist fare better than pessimist in almost every aspect of life. Optimist people, people who look at the bright side of things, are less susceptible to depression and physical illness.
“There’s evidence that optimism bolster the immune system” Prof. Matin E. P.Seligman.
Proverbs 17:22, supports this evidence, “A merry heart doeth good like medicine; but a broken spirit
drieth the bone”
How is it possible to have a cheerful heart when things go wrong? By making your request known to God………..PRAY! Philippian 4:6-7 says “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.”
We should pray with “Thanksgiving”. We should be thankful, not for the negative circumstances that have befallen us. but for all our blessings. We should be thankful , not for the negative circumstances that have befallen us, but for all our blessings, those good things that we have.
If we pray and give thanks, our disposition toward our present circumstances will change dramatically. By the time we count our many blessings and thank God for each of them, God will have already changed our frame of mind.
Remember this song called, “Count Your Many Blessings”?
When the devil causes “bad things to happen to good people”, he wants us to dwell on the good things and forget all the bad things that have happened. If you take a sheet of paper, draw a line down the middle , and list all the bad things that have happened to you on one side, and all of the good things on the other side, and all of the good things on the other side, the good will outweigh the bad.
Good reading! It is always better to be grateful and look at the bright side of things. Here is some more info on the matter See the bright side
